This is my Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome blog. Its just a general collection of links that I've come across which address many different aspects of HLHS and other forms of congenital heart disease. I initially decided to start this blog so that I'd have access to these links, some of them being very hard to find, from any computer. Surgeons at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia have found that, at least in their experience, children who get the RV-PA conduit don't fair any better than those who receive the BT shunt.
I blogged this primarily because the article presents some statistics on the positive impact of breastfeeding the heart baby, which is contrary to what most moms are told in the hospital regarding bottle vs. breast.
